Abandonment. Separation. What are you taught about separation, that its okay to feel sad, to love yourself, to either be alone, or be preoccupied. But do they know how it feels to feel separated from yourself. The pain, all you see is red, you rage until you’re energy is so dangerous, its venomous. You learn to calm the poison, shed the pain away, and become a better you. Its a journey, not a destination. Abandonment is a brutal pain. Its like a person taking a knife and slashing your heart, squeezing your lungs, trying to cut your wings off, and then watching you fall to the ground and lay there to die. An emotion so exhausting, you dont feel like getting up. Like they led you into a trap and robbed your peace, and your air to breathe. And if you’re lucky enough to receive an apology, they rip off the bandaid you put over the broken pieces of your heart and act like a victim.
