Hello all you practitioners out there! One question I have been asking myself recently, and where I would like some community feedback, is: Do you think it is possible for someone who practices Magick in a non-denominational and A-theistic approach, to be able to work with something like the Book of Psalms, or otherwise High Ritual Magick that involves the summoning or invoking of Angels, Demons, or otherwise? I find myself asking this from both a studious view as well as personal practitioner’s motto of “Use what works and discard the rest”, but seeing as I (and probably many of us) don’t believe in conventional Christian beliefs such as Jesus, god or Devil, I find myself distracted when contemplating High Magick, or Angelic Magickal approaches. I have my own conjectures around this topic, as the Elements can replace the names of Angels in ritual settings, “God” being simply your supreme consciousness, etc etc... But knowing there are already schools of thought around Atheist or Agnostic-based witchcraft vs traditional forms that may or may not invoke a pantheon of Gods and Goddesses, spirits/demons, what are your thoughts surrounding this topic?
